Circumcise Your Hearts
The Golden Bowl of Prayer

“Circumcise your hearts, therefore, and be no longer stiff necked!” (Dt 10:12) Fix in our hearts dear Lord a sweet docility and  a yearning openness through which the spirits lifeblood may flow to revitalize my heart in Christ. Holy Spirit fill me and circulate Thy grace to animate and strengthen my body and spirit to function in blessed union with Thee, healing habitual sin that blocks Thy Will and leads to a slow death of the spirit.  Cardiac Physician Divine with the two edged scalpel of the Word, work within me to cut away and remove all that is unclean, obstructive and prone to the calcifying affects of sin which harden our hearts from the flow of grace. Heal our hearts sweet Lord, so that we may “follow His ways exactly, to love and serve the Lord, your God, with all your heart and all your soul, to keep the commandments and statues of the Lord with I enjoin on you today for your own good!” (Dt 10:12)

Lord, inspire within me the urgency to seek the healing grace that restores hearts to thrive with holiness and peace so as to “walk with (God) in integrity and in uprightness and turn many away from evil.” (Mal 2:6) Resuscitate all hardened hearts Lord, where dormant faith lies sick and stricken from the decay of sin, and bring renewal, alluring hearts back to the Blessed Sacrament where we are restored in the Body of Christ. O Sacred Heart of Jesus, our life source and our supply, open us to "delight in Your law in the depth of my heart” (Ps 40) May I cross my heart and hope to die having lived each day so that “Christ dwells in our hearts through faith, and…charity be the root and foundation of our life!” (Eph 3:17)
