"The Pleasant Vineyard, sing about it! I, the Lord, am it's keeper,  I water it every moment; Lest anyone harm it, night and day I guard it!" (Isaiah 27:2-3) Master, "visit this vine and protect it, the vine Your right hand has planted" (Psalm 80)  Plant our hearts in the center of Your will, to bear bountiful fruit in the spirit, that of love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance. Ground us in prayer O Lord, allowing us to drink deeply from the life giving waters of Your spirit. Prune where You must wise Keeper, and remove from us anything rotten, threatening to spoil the purity of our souls. Plunk from us any grapes of wrath, judgement, envy and all bitter things despoiling the sweet wine You seek to distill through our lives.

Lord we meet you at sunrise to be at work in your fields, hearts ready to labor and reap a harvest of blessings for You. Help us to pick every moment, infusing it with a spirit Your wine of gladness, laboring in all things in love for You. Yes, "my Father is the Vine grower. He takes away every branch in me that does not bear fruit, and everyone that does He prunes so that it bears more fruit. ....Remain in me, as I remain in you. Just as a branch cannot bear fruit on its own unless it remains on the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in me. I am the vine and you are the branches. Whoever remains in in me and I in Him will bear much fruit, because without Me you can do nothing"  (John 15:1-9) Throw into the fire of God's consuming love, all that is waste, all rubbish, all withering sin, all hopelessness, all division and strife. It is springtime! Gather us Lord to harvest a blessed bumper-crop of glorious fruit to share with those hungry for Thy heavenly fruit. Gather "all ...who are thirsty...come, without paying and without cost, and drink wine....!" Fill us Lord, and let us always drink deeply of Your love!+
